Wow, I was about to book a flight to NJ for BronyCon. It would deplete our savings significantly, but I promised our autistic daughter that she would attend a Brony convention and "no one breaks a Pinkie Promise."

I so would love to have another chance to get myself a ticket to the con. My cousin and I were actually looking forward to it. I was looking forward to meeting with one of my fellow Bronies face to face and who would EVER want to miss out on the largest gathering of FiM VA's EVER?! I don't want to. ^_^

This is coming from someone who knows not-a-lick about organizing as vast an event as this, but I have to say, I will be kissing people if something like this allows me (or, obviously, many people like me, who simply missed their chance) to come this year. That's all, don't wanna wear out my welcome. Thank you, staff, for all you are trying to do.

This sounds like the sort of information I'm looking for. Can you elaborate a bit on this? I've arranged to stay at a friend's house who's also going to the con. But since my ticket is on a supposed "waiting list" we're not sure what to plan.

Should we just be emailing that address and trying to sort out everything with them? I gotta say, the waiting list business has me really confused so far.

Okay, let me explain WHAT I CAN without having the rest of the board kill me, okay?

If we can get more space so we can do more memberships, those who got ON THE WAITING LIST will get like 24 hours to buy memberships before the rest of the public. It will be our way to thank those who were patient. We would also announce a SET DATE AND TIME we're re-open memberships, and how many we'd be able to sell due to the additional space-if any. If or when those sold out, that would be it. We would NOT be able to add more, okay? We will give people PLENTY of warning announcing EVERYWHERE on the net if that space opens!

So, here is how it would work:

1) Additional Space & Overflow Room Block Announced
2) Those on wait list get first crack at memberships
3) Memberships open at SET DATE AND TIME
4) If we sell out, that's it. We would not be able to expand further
5) Everyone comes to the con and has the most epic Luna-Tier experience

Yes, if the number of new memberships exceed the number on the waiting list (Your post implies it does), those procedures sound like a great idea. FWIW, I can't think of another way.

Otherwise, please let the set time be in the evening so that those of us who have 9-5 jobs can have a chance.

So if your current plan is to open sales for the next batch of tickets sometime in the future, with those on the waiting list getting 24 hours beforehand to buy tickets, what is the plan going to be for pricing them?

Because currently being on the wait list (in my case, not sure what other types of situations the wait list includes) comes about from having paid the 35$ for a ticket previously but not actually doing so soon enough to receive one. If the sales plan for these future tickets is to re-open them to people on the wait list for purchase does that mean we should be expecting to pay more in addition to that deposit we've already put down?

And no worries if you don't actually have an answer. I understand these things can get complicated. Just trying to fish for as much information as I can get. (And to figure out if I should horde up some cash ahead of time to buy a ticket quicker this time).

I have a few questions though:
1) What happened to the mailing list idea? Tossed or is the staff being secret squirrel about it?
2) Does this mean that you won't be able to fit all 950 to view a single discussion panel?
