Really, I do. Not only have I always wanted to visit Seattle, but I haven't been to a convention like this since... Wow, since I can't remember when! I used to do the "furry" thing, but... Well, let's just leave the past IN the past.

Alas, I didn't even hear about this 'til yesterday and that was through some promotional art by one of my FAVORITE artists! Now there's just not enough time, money, etc. If only I had heard about it a month or two ago, maybe. Oh well. I hope everyone has a blast!

I can kind of understand the furry thing, been gradually pulling away from that a little even before FIM, but now with another fandom to fill the gap it has been easier to cut ties. I'll still be up at Rainfurrest in September, but depending on how it goes I may decide this will be my last year. There are a couple other furry cons I got myself roped into, to be honest I would rather not attend them but a good friend of mine asked me to go along, so I am going more for them than anything else.

Got my eye on potentially getting my tail to Bronycon next year and perhaps hitting up EquestriaLA come November.

Furry was always weird, in one way or another, but it has changed over time and as it grew. I tried to change with it, but came to realize I was no longer being true to myself and my beliefs. Part of the point it was a community I felt I was safe being myself and did not need to pretend for others approval, when that away I felt lost. With this community that warm welcoming feeling is back again and I love I can be part of something like that while still holding to the one thing that made me furry in the first place, my for cartoons and animals.

Hope to see you there next year and don't worry about your furry past - I think you'll find most bronies are pretty non-judgmental simply because we are bronies and we know how it is to be judged. I say, as long as you're not hurting yourself or others, do what makes you happy. For me, it's watching ponies.

Damn sucks you can't go :/ I've always wanted to go to Seattle as well but I'm actually going this time. And furries eh? I always found them kind of creepy but I can't really say much since I'm a brony, and we're viewed just as weirdly by people.

It's so infuriating! Less than an hours drive away...
