Just reserved a room through priceline, there are 2 reservation slots left. Any after that will have to be paid up front.

Um, we actually HAVE a great deal with the hotel already, you don't really need Priceline...

Well, its two-fold actually. With Priceline you -may- get a slightly cheaper price, but that room does NOT count towards the convention's room block-and you also do not get many of the perks that come with being in the room block (Free breakfast buffet, free parking for being a part of the room block, free shuttles to southcenter, etc). So in getting a room with the code 'MLP' via the hotel, you help the the convention AND yourself with added perks!

Besides, if the con lasts to the wee hours of the morning, all you have to do is walk to your room.
It's an entirely different story when you have to either find a ride or wait until bus service starts up again in order to get back to your hotel.
