I've started to compare Greyhound buses in-state (i'll do out-of-state later).

Spokane to Seattle:
- Multiple trips arriving the 16th (Thursday) and leaving the 20th (Monday)
1 Adult: $72-$94
1 Adult + 1 Child: $144-$165
1 Senior: $72-$88.85

2 Adults: $122-$168

3 Adults: $216-$252

So it seems to be cheaper (at least, initially) to travel in pairs (but multiple pairs on the same bus is fine)

Also, you get a discount for purchasing your tickets online and a bigger discount for advanced purchase.

Useful to know - if carpooling doesn't work out, this at least gives us an idea of our options.

What's also useful is that you can purchase refundable tickets so if the carpooling thing does work out, you can get your money back.

I would also check out the Amtrak rates, because it looks like they are running cheaper then taking a Greyhound.

Alaska Air usually has some dirt cheap rates to and from Spokane too.

The important thing is to purchase them before-hoof, otherwise you'll be paying extra money for last minute arrangements.

Alaska Air makes you pay for bags so don't pack much if you are using them.
