Everfree Northwest is this weekend and we couldn’t be more pumped! We have one last track announcement to share with everyone, this time focusing on our gaming track featuring both electronic and tabletop gaming. We have so much gaming goodness this year, from MLP CCG tournaments to panels about game creation, ‘Legends of Equestia’ to ‘Ponyfinder’, and of course open gaming in both our electronic and tabletop gaming rooms.

The folks of ‘Legends of Equestria’ give a live demo and Q&A about what they have been up to on the game’s development.

Getting a Cutie Mark in Game Development

Ever been interested in game development but not sure where to start? This panel is to show you some of the ins and outs of what it’s like to make a game in the developmental stage, as well as some of the programs and groups to help support and nurture your dream of being a game developer.

Games Ponies Make

Gaming Colts and friends would like to invite you to learn about making games, both in fandoms and out. Join us for a presentation about making games as well as a general Q&A for everything from organization to deployment of your game. This panel will feature the results from the Crystal Games Challenge at the end.

Gaming Colts presents some of your favorite guests playing the ultimate test of friendship: Mario Party’!

Rock Band Tourney

An event where the pony songs you all know and love are sung. Teams compete against one another in a tournament to decide who is the Everfree Northwest 2014 ‘Rock Band’ Champion!

Everypony is invited to sing all the best tunes from ‘My Little Pony’!

A public demonstration of ‘Ponyfinder (Ponies for Pathfinder)’, running 4–6 people through the Tower of Misery, playing with pregenerated characters as they use wit and tactical thinking to put right to wrong.

Learn to Play the MLP Collectible Card Game

Everypony is welcome to come and learn to play the official ‘My Little Pony Collectible Card Game’. No prior gaming experience needed!

Friday MLPCCG Tournament

Bring your best deck, show off your problem solving skills, and strive to be the best! Everypony is welcome to play. Prizes galore! The top four players will be invited to participate in the Top Eight event on Sunday. $10 entry fee, and each player gets two packs and a stamped Rainbow Dash foil card! You must bring your own deck. Swiss format, three rounds; each round is thirty minutes. 32 players max.

Saturday MLPCCG Tournament

A ‘My Little Pony Collectible Card Game’ tournament just for foals (12 and under). Come play, make new friends, and have a chance to win cool stuff! Swiss format, three rounds; each round is thirty minutes. 32 players max. It’s free to play and there is a chance to win awesome prizes!

MLPCCG Sealed Tournament

Put your deck building abilities to the test by constructing from a deck a theme deck and three packs. You will also receive an Applejack promo card! $20 entry fee, 32 players max.

Skype Chat with Anthrocon

If you wished you could be at both Everfree Northwest and Anthrocon, here’s your chance as we will be having a live streaming Skype chat between the conventions! We’ll get a chance to say hi to some of our fellow convention-goers at their event over a live feed. This panel is Saturday from 4 to 4:30 in Crystal A and B.

EQD: The Panel

Next up is our panel with the staff of Equestria Daily! The staff of Equestria Daily will be answering questions and receiving feedback and ideas from you, the audience! Not only that, but there will be art requests taken by the talented Tetrapony and Acesential (with Couch putting in a good effort). Silliness guaranteed, or your money back! This panel is Saturday from 6 to 7 in Orcas A and B.

Semper Filly: Military Ponies

The last (but not least) is the punnishly named Semper Filly: Military Ponies panel! This panel is intended to shed light on the large community of military folks who enjoy MLP:FiM. The panelists, all military and fans of the show, will discuss their experiences with MLP, what they do in the military pony community, and the different resources and hubs available to them. There will also be a display of military pony art and videos and a prize to be given away! This panel is Saturday from 1:30 to 3 in in Orcas A and B.

Registration will open each day of the convention at 8am and will continue until 8pm on Friday and Saturday and until 4pm on Sunday.

Costume Contest Registration will be during regular Badge Registration hours (including Pre-Registration on Thursday!) but it will end 2 and a half hours before the Costume Contest. (10:30am on Saturday) so get registered quickly!

Not quite sure what to prepare for on stage? Both categories will have 4 winners! Remember that the costume isn’t necessarily everything, it’s also your stage presence!

With the recent release of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Comic #20, we’d like to remind everypony that Everfree Northwest will have it’s very own exclusive variant cover at this year’s convention for $10! From coloring pages, drawing and the Canterlot box fort to drawing classes and puppet making, come join us for some creative fun for all ages. Also featuring facepainting in the morning on Saturday and Sunday!

How to Draw Ponies (Beginner and Advanced)

This event was so popular last year that we’ve decided to hold it again– twice! Whether you’re just starting out or are an experienced professional who wants to refine your skills, we have the panel for you. Hosted by members of the subreddit r/mlpdrawingschool, multiple artists will be on hoof to provide personalized feedback and personal instruction.

Meet the Artists

Do you like to draw ponies? Do you want to meet other artists who like to draw ponies, too? If so, come meet a bunch of your fellow and favorite pony artists in this informal get-together. Draw things! Talk awkwardly at each other! There will be cake*! (*Note: Cake may be a lie.)

From Script to Screen

The Writers in Harmony crew takes you on a journey through the process of creating an animation covering everything from screenwriting, voice acting, music and animation, with the showing of two brand new works. Featuring works from Last Stand of Harmony and Pika Petey.

Ponies and Pantones: The Art and Design of Friendship is Magic

The world of Equestria is a colorful and magical place and that’s no accident! Everything from the shapes of the clouds, colors of background ponies, and the layout of Ponyville have a reason and artistic meaning. Hosted by professional graphic designer and fanartist KefkaFloyd, you’ll learn the hows and whys for the art direction of the show, toy packaging, and comics and how it influences viewers of all ages. You’ll also learn how to improve your own art and design with discussions on composition, color theory, and typography.

Pony Video and PMV Contest

Saturday mornings just would not be complete without cold cereal and cartoons. Come join us while we watch a bunch of pony music videos and other fan-created animation. After watching a bunch of great fan-made PMVs and Pony Videos, we also be showing the entries for and giving out prizes to the winners of the Everfree Northwest 2014 animation contest!
