Heads up! We’re super excited to announce that Rebecca Shoichet, singing voice of Twilight Sparkle and voice of Sunset Shimmer, will be attending Everfree Northwest 2014! We’re excited to have Rebecca join us this year.
Rebecca Shoichet is a singer/actor who grew up in Victoria, B.C., Canada. With an education in musical theatre, she sings in a wide variety of music styles from jazz to funk and from pop-rock to opera. She has performed with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Canadian popular artists Amanda Marshall and Tom Cochrane, and Vancouver-based bands Soulstream, Side One and Mimosa.
She has been voice acting since her move to Vancouver in 2000 and has played such characters as Agent Abigail Brand on Astonishing X-Men, Willi in Maya the Bee, Lorne and Dr. Kat in Kid vs Kat, and the English voices of such anime characters as Nana O. in Nana, Chelsea Rorec in Tokyo Underground, and Eriand Sota in Inuyasha.
Rebecca is currently the singing voice of Twilight Sparkle as well as playing Sunset Shimmer in the feature My Little Pony: Equestria Girls.
