Everfree Northwest Pony Cosplay Contest

Taking place in the Mane Stage (Emerald Ballroom D-F) on Saturday from 11-12:30 on Saturday. Participants should arrive at 10:30, half hour prior to the event itself for check in and pre-screening.

The contest will be divided into three divisions, broken down as such:

• Foal Division: All cosplayers 12 or younger.
• Pony Commission Division: Cosplayers 13 or older who have assembled their costume primarily from other creators.
• Pony Handmade Division: Cosplayers 13 or older who have made 80% or more of their costume themselves and have bought minimal pieces from other crafters.

The judges will base their decisions based on the following four criteria, each worth equal value:

• Craftsmanship
• Creativity
• Originality / Accuracy
• Overall Effect / Stage Presence

And now the nitty-gritty details

1. Costume must be within the guidelines and relative and relevant to "My Little Pony"
2. Friendship is magic canon characters are not required to bring reference pictures. Offshoots (such as steampunk, fancy, crossover, Equestria Girls, etc.), Original Characters, as well as older generation characters, should specify that they are doing so in the description of the costume and provide 4 reference pictures for the judges if necessary.
3. Costumes should display some form of originality and effort. Hoodies from hot topic, a pair of ears, and/or only a wig are NOT examples of this. Costumes displaying such indifference will be declined from entering.
4. Contestants are to show up at the door 30 minutes early for head count, roll call, and preparation. If a contestant fails to show up 5 minutes prior to the event, they will be automatically disqualified from the running.
5. This is a fun family friendly event, and we will not tolerate any rude behavior or bullying beforehand or during the contest. If you cannot be nice, you will be politely asked to leave.
6. All contestants must adhere to convention rules and regulations at all times.
7. Cosplaying staff are ineligable to join the judging portion of the contest but are invited to participate in a segment towards the end of the panel displaying all their hard work and creativity.
