Everfree Northwest is an annual, three day event dedicated to celebrating the hit television show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Since its debut in the Autumn of 2010, My Little Pony has earned itself dedicated fans of all ages. Now in its third year, Everfree Northwest is more than just a convention. It is a community of friends and volunteers who have come from all walks of life and corners of the continent. Everfree Northwest gives the fan community a memorable time and space to make friends, make memories, and to celebrate the media phenomenon that brings them together.
Our event includes a rich schedule of programming that includes dances, costume contests, art, live music, games, and more! Each year we feature special guests of voice talent and production staff, who have given their talents to make My Little Pony so special, for special panels and autograph signings. Don't forget to visit our Vendor's Hall, where you can purchase the talented work of fan art, crafts, and music as well as toys, comic books, and more. As Everfree Northwest brings together fans of all ages, our event is family-friendly and all content and programming is appropriate for kids aged 1 to 100. Speaking of kids, all kids 12 and under attend Everfree Northwest for free with a paying adult!

With the largest and most varied set of writing panels and events of any MLP fan convention – boasting 12 writing panels and events during our 2013 convention alone – Everfree Northwest is fast becoming a literary hub on the convention circuit. Already EFNW 2014 is shaping up to be just as exciting if not more so for both writers and readers, with more panels and events currently in development than ever!
Thus is it our pleasure to announce Everfree Northwest’s first pre-con writing contest! The second in our series of contests, this time we’re looking to showcase the amazing writing talents of the My Little Pony community.
Everfree Northwest is seeking writers interested in being a part of the Everfree Northwest 2014 writing track as a panel presenter! You could be up on stage with other authors sharing your knowledge of storytelling, offering tips and experience to a receptive audience. We hosted 12 panels and events all focused on writing and fanfiction during EFNW 2013—including such panels as plot, character development, setting, literary merit, and advanced literary techniques with events like our Iron Author competition and Author Hangout—and we’re looking to have even more panels and events spotlighting writing for the 2014 convention. We have both returning favorites and brand new panels and events for Everfree Northwest 2014, and we hope you’ll join us in making it the best convention it can be!
