The Hospitality Team is responsible for supporting the Everfree Northwest staff, and helping to keep them happy, healthy, and running throughout the convention. If you like the idea of making Everfree Northwest’s staff smile smile smile, this is the department for you!
Hospitality Staff
Reports to: Hospitality Lead
Length of Assignment: May 29th, 2015 – May 31st, 2015
Purpose: Assist with the setup and breakdown of the lounge areas, anticipating any needs inside of these rooms and keeping lounges well supplied and clean. Ensure only authorized people are using the lounges. The areas may include but are not limited to the Green Room, VIP Lounge, Staff Lounge, Sponsor Lounge and any other EFNW Sponsored Lounge areas.
Qualifications: Food handler’s permit, clean habits and decent hygiene required.
Time Commitment: 12 hours total over the duration of the convention.
Support Provided: Staff Badge and Shirt, Access to the Staff Lounge, Training provided (Sleeping, travel, and full meal arrangements will not be provided).
Dress Code: Staff Badge must be visible at all times. Cosplay is encouraged and participating staff will not be required to wear a staff shirt. Otherwise, staff shirts must be worn during assigned shifts.
As the year goes by, Press Relations is continuously feeding the frenzy of people excited to come to Everfree Northwest through our social media sites and online campaigns. During the convention, they work with fan media organizations and professional press organizations coming to do coverage of the convention. If you are looking for experience working with press or you are looking for a fun position throughout the year, Press Relations might be a great choice!
Press Liaison
Reports to: Press Relations Lead
Length of Assignment: May 29th, 2015 – May 31st, 2015
Purpose: Meet with professional news organizations coming to do press coverage of the convention as they arrive at the convention center. Accompany them closely as they complete their coverage, ensuring they don’t harass anyone or otherwise violate convention policies while respecting the space and everyone in it.
Qualifications: Ability to move constantly while accompanying press, ability to learn convention policies and events in advance.
Time Commitment: On call, with a total scheduled on call time of about 12hrs total for the duration of the convention.
Support Provided: Staff Badge and Shirt, Access to the Staff Lounge, Training provided by Supervisor if needed (Sleeping, travel, and full meal arrangements will not be provided). Budget can be provided for activities as approved by the Promotions Coordinator and Business.
Dress Code: Business casual required. Cosplay is allowed if approved by the Co-Directors of Press Relations in advance, in which case business casual does not apply. Staff badge must be worn at all times.
With thousands of people milling about, the Royal Guard works around the clock to make sure we are safe. Guards can be seen posted all over the convention spaces keeping an eye out for anything that might disrupt the convention experience. Royal Guard Staff
Reports to: Co-Captains of the Royal Guard
Length of Assignment: May 29th, 2015 – May 31st, 2015
Purpose: Under the direction of the Captains, monitor assigned areas for anything that might affect the safety of everyone at the convention, reporting any incidents or possible issues to Dispatch.
Qualifications: Ability to concentrate on assigned task for long periods of time, good at taking directions, and observant with a keen eye. Experience using radios will be a useful skill, but not required.
Time Commitment: As assigned up to a target amount of about 12 hours total for the duration of the convention.
Support Provided: Staff Badge, Royal Guard Shirt, Access to the Staff Lounge, Training provided by Supervisor (Sleeping, travel, and full meal arrangements will not be provided).
Dress Code: Staff Badge must be visible at all times. Cosplay must be approved in advance by one of the Co-Captains of the Royal Guard. Royal Guard shirts must be worn during assigned shifts.
Dispatch Staff
Reports to: Co-Captains of the Royal Guard
Length of Assignment: May 29th, 2015 – May 31st, 2015
Purpose: Within ConOps (likely Peninsula A), operate the radio consoles as a central hub for communication across the convention, especially as it relates to the Royal Guard.
Qualifications: Prior experience operating radios is required. Excellent communication skills are preferred.
Time Commitment: As assigned up to a target amount of about 12 hours total for the duration of the convention.
Support Provided: Staff Badge, Royal Guard Shirt, Access to the Staff Lounge, Training provided by Supervisor (Sleeping, travel, and full meal arrangements will not be provided).

Throughout the year, other teams submit their requests for equipment and supplies to the Logistics team. When it comes time to setup the convention, they ensure everything requested gets moved into the convention center and makes its way to the owners. During cleanup, the Logistics team is invaluable for ensuring that everything makes it back to storage. If you want to do some heavy lifting, problem solving, and critical tasks, this team may be right for you!
Deployment Staff
Reports to: Logistics Lead
Length of Assignment: May 28th, 2015 – June 1st, 2015
Purpose: Help move items from the Everfree Northwest Public Storage unit to the convention space by the truckload. Assist departments with ensuring items are properly delivered to their rooms from each shipment out of storage. At the end of the convention, help clean up and move items back into storage.
Qualifications: Must be able to lift heavy objects, climb obstacles and move without aide. Good listeners who can understand where items should go are desired. Being licensed and insured to drive motor vehicles, including commercial trucks, is a plus.
Time Commitment: Must be able to assist on setup day (Thursday May 28th, 2015), stay at the end of the convention to help clean up (Sunday in the afternoon), or remain until Monday to finish up moving everything into storage. (Attendance to all three is not required, but you must provide a total of 12hrs of volunteer service to receive staff benefits.) Does not conflict with a position whose time commitment is during the convention.

Fans of the MLP:CCG will flock to the tournaments, as well as having some fun playing board games in between sessions. The Tabletop Gaming team does their best to bring the latest in MLP related board and card games, as well as creating a fun environment for all. If you think a fun night is friends hanging out around a board game, the Tabletop Gaming team might be for you!
MLP CCG Knowledge Expert
Reports to: Tabletop Gaming Lead
Length of Assignment: May 29th, 2015 – May 31st, 2015
Purpose: Monitor the My Little Pony
Qualifications: Advanced understanding of the rules for the MLP:CCG, able to effectively explain the rules, and able to identify potential conflicts as they arise. Communication skills and a friendly attitude are desired.
Time Commitment: Scheduled for a target of about 12hrs total for the duration of the convention, split between the scheduled MLP:CCG tournaments.
Support Provided: Staff Badge and Shirt, Access to the Staff Lounge, Training provided whenever called to a new position (Sleeping, travel, and full meal arrangements will not be provided). Enterplay will also be providing their support during the events.

Autographs Staff
Reports to: Autographs Lead
Length of Assignment: May 29th, 2015 – May 31st, 2015
Purpose: Distribute autograph vouchers in the Autographs room for VIP guest signings.
Qualifications: Previous retail experience or other cash handling or customer service experience is preferred.
Time Commitment: Scheduled for a target of about 12hrs total for the duration of the convention.
Support Provided: Staff Badge and Shirt, Access to the Staff Lounge, Training provided whenever called to a new position (Sleeping, travel, and full meal arrangements will not be provided).

When staff aren’t sure what to do, when attendees are in need of help, or when you need somewhere to turn, the Answer Desk will be there to valiantly assist! This team of elite help-deskers will be ready and waiting to lend a hoof if you have any questions or concerns. You may find them in the ConOps room ready to give great customer support. If you have a mind for customer service, creative problem solving skills and a heart for helping people, the Answer Desk might be a great place to volunteer today!
Answer Desk Representative
Reports to: Answer Desk Manager
Length of Assignment: May 29th, 2015 – May 31st, 2015
Purpose: Provide top notch customer service to attendees, staff, and anyone else seeking assistance at the Answer Desk (likely in Peninsula A).
Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with other people who may or may not be emotionally distressed, creative problem solvers preferred. Past customer service experience is a plus.
Time Commitment: As assigned up to a target amount of about 12 hours total for the duration of the convention.
Support Provided: Staff Badge, Staff Shirt, Access to the Staff Lounge, Training provided by Supervisor (Sleeping, travel, and full meal arrangements will not be provided). Access to as many of the staff services, documentation, and resources as possible will be granted shortly before and during the convention so that information will be easily available.

When the lights go dim and the drums begin, you can count on the Productions team to be at the back of the Mane Stage area working on the consoles. They are fully dedicated to ensuring a mind blowing experience during all Mane Stage and side panels, but especially during the concerts!
Daytime Stagehand
Reports to: Daytime Stage Manager
Length of Assignment: May 29th, 2015 – May 31st, 2015
Purpose: Support stage operations by assisting the Stage Manager to keep things clean and in working order
Qualifications: Able to lift heavy objects, climb over obstacles quickly, and access all areas of the stage effectively.
Time Commitment: During Convention, must be present for all Emerald Ballroom events during the day until concerts begin in the evening.
Support Provided: Staff Badge and Shirt, Access to the Staff Lounge, Training provided by Supervisor (Sleeping, travel, and full meal arrangements will not be provided).
Dress Code: Staff Badge must be visible at all times. Cosplay is encouraged and participating staff will not be required to wear a staff shirt. Otherwise, staff shirts must be worn during assigned shifts. Black shirts may be provided as an alternative to staff shirts.
Concert Stage Hand

Purpose: Support stage operations by assisting the Stage Manager to keep things clean and in working order.
Qualifications: Able to lift heavy objects, climb over obstacles quickly, and access all areas of the stage effectively.
